In January and February 2011, during Arte Fiera, Andrea Benetti‘s exhibition, curated by Francesco Elisei, was held. The gallery space was ideal for creating a path that divided Andrea Benetti‘s Neo-Cave painting into three thematic sections. Hence the title “Anfratti della pittura Neorupestre,” which was divided into: “Homage to Cave Painting,” featuring works that evoke and reinterpret the origins of painting on prehistoric cave walls; “Abstractism of the Origins,” which presents abstraction as a claim that painting was already conceived in caves by early humans; and finally, “A Primitive in the Third Millennium,” reflecting a modern iconography that ideally takes the place of that of the caveman.
