Benedict XVI looks closely at Benetti's work acquired in the Collection
On 28 November 2012, the Istituto Europeo Pegaso, in collaboration with A.N.F.E., donated Andrea Benetti’s work entitled “Omaggio a Karol Wojtyla” to His Holiness Benedict XVI. During the reception, in the Nervi Hall at the Vatican, the work was greatly appreciated by the Pope and was acquired in the Vatican Art Collections. Present at the ceremony were Andrea Benetti, Domenico Di Conza (Director of the Pegaso European Institute) and the President of ANFE Marche, Professor Rocco Fazzini. The work consists of a bas-relief created with a plaster background on canvas, measuring 70 x 50 cm.
