On March 9, 2012, the acquisition of the work entitled “Caccia VII” by the Quirinale Art Collection took place. At the behest of the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano and the Advisor for the Preservation of the Artistic Heritage of the Presidency of the Republic, Professor Louis Godart, it was acquired on an entirely “exceptional” basis (as specified in one of the letters sent between the Andrea Benetti Archive and the Presidency of the Republic), since the two collections present at the Quirinale are of ancient art and modern art. Andrea Benetti is thus among the first contemporaries to be collected by the prestigious State collection.
