Acquired a work by Andrea Benetti in the Quirinale Art Collection
On March 9, 2012, the acquisition of the work entitled “Caccia VII” by the Quirinale Art Collection took place. At the behest of President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano and the Advisor for the Preservation of the Artistic Heritage of the Presidency, Professor Louis Godart, the work was acquired on an entirely “exceptional” basis (as stated in one of the letters exchanged between the Andrea Benetti Archive and the Presidency), given that the two collections at the Quirinale are dedicated to ancient and modern art. Andrea Benetti is thus among the first contemporary artists to be included in the prestigious State collection.
