In the months of June and July 2015, Andrea Benetti’s exhibition entitled “Astrattismo delle Origini” was set up in Lecce, in the Carlo V Castle. Twenty-five works on canvas were on display, inspired by the original abstractionism, which was born in the caves of Prehistory. In addition to the works on canvas, there was a video installation, which projected the video art work, entitled “essentia”, created by the Basmati Film group together with Benetti. The exhibition was curated by Prof. Toti Carpentieri and promoted by MUST · Historical Museum of Lecce, by the Carlo V Castle and by the Culture Department of the Municipality of Lecce.
