Conceived and written by Andrea Benetti in 2006, the Manifesto was presented at the 53rd Venice Biennale of Art in November 2009, in the pavilion hosted by Ca’ Foscari University. The event was made possible thanks to the M.A.C.I.A. – Museum of Italian Contemporary Art in America, which invited Andrea Benetti to present his Manifesto of Neo-Cave Art in the international pavilion “Natura e sogni,” curated by Gregorio Rossi and Francesco Elisei. A catalog for the event was published by Umberto Allemandi & C.
