On Thursday, June 25, 2015, Andrea Benetti’s exhibition entitled “Astrattismo delle origini” opened in the Carlo V Castle in Lecce, featuring twenty-five works on canvas and the presentation of the video art work entitled “essentia,” created by Andrea Benetti, Audrey Coianiz, and Saul Saguatti. “Astrattismo delle origini” is a project promoted and sponsored by the City of Lecce, MUST (Historical Museum of Lecce) by the Cultural Association Italian Art Promotion and curated by Prof. Toti Carpentieri. An exhibition of Neo-Cave painting inspired by the abstractionism of the origins, with the presentation of the video art work entitled “essentia,” already previewed in April as part of Andrea Benetti’s exhibition entitled “VR60768 anthropomorphic figures,” promoted by the University of Bologna and the University of Ferrara and set up in Rome, at the Chamber of Deputies.
