Entitled “Colors in Venice,” the exhibition curated by Professor Francesco Paolo Campione, stems from Giacomo Casanova Foundation‘s invitation to Andrea Benetti to be the first artist to exhibit in the Foundation’s new Venetian venue, located in the very central sestiere of San Marco, in the historic Zagùri Palace. In addition to being honored by the prestigious invitation, the emotional and professional bond that has bound him to the lagoon city since 2009, when he presented the Manifesto of Neo-Cave Art at the 53rd Venice Art Biennial at Ca’ Foscari University, has taken over for Andrea Benetti. In the Manifesto, Andrea Benetti hypothesizes an imaginary bridge between the prehistoric origin of art and its contemporaneity.
